After several months of gatherings,
six groups of members from Good Shepherd concluded their
prayers and deliberations with a "plenary session"
on April 29. At that meeting the participants shared their
group’s findings with the other vision groups.
A week later, on May 5, two representatives from each
of the six groups met to merge the conclusions of the
groups into one Vision for Mission. A report of that vision
was given to the congregation council on Tuesday, May
8.
Finally, a special congregational meeting was held on
Sunday, June 10 at noon, to approve the new Vision for
Mission for Good Shepherd.
These are exciting times for Good Shepherd because the
Spirit of God is at work among us. We are about to enter
a new chapter in the life and work of this congregation.
Please continue praying that we remain open to God’s leading
in the weeks and months ahead.
