We are deeply aware of the pressures that are present in every adult person living in our world today. Through our adult education opportunities, we seek to provide support as well as tools which participants can readily and faithfully use in their daily lives. Adults forums, which meet on Sunday morning at 9:15 am, address contemporary issues and discuss faithful responses. Bible studies meet on Sunday mornings, Monday evenings, and Wednesday mornings. You are invited to attend any or all of these education opportunities. Check out our Events Calendar for more specific information! Sunday School Our Sunday School has classes for toddlers through adults meeting each Sunday at 9:15 am. Classes are grouped by age and grade to maximize the learning experience. Bible stories are read and taught in each class with crafts made, skits presented, prayers given and music sung -- all of it helping us learn the incredible love of God, who calls us to live faithfully in the world. | Confirmation Confirmation is a ministry at Good Shepherd designed to help baptized young people know and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. This two year program for 7th and 8th grade students helps transfer the "head" knowledge of faith into a spiritually enriching "heart" experience with Christ and the church. Classes meet during the school year on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am and every other Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. Powerpoint presentations, games, quizzes, retreats, and small group discussions are used to make the Christian faith dynamic and operative in young peoples' lives. God calls each of us in our baptism to understand the teachings of the Church and to identify with the mission and ministry of a Christian congregation. Confirmation ministry seeks to accomplish this goal. Vacation Bible School Each summer, at a time announced each spring, a week of fun and faith unfolds at Good Shepherd. Indoor and outdoor experiences are designed to impart the faith in a memorable way. Members and non-members alike are invited to participate. |
