VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Attention children ages 3- students completed 5th grade:
How would you like to come and learn more about the Lord and what he can do for you? OR how about learning how to become a better person and live a ‘better life?
If you answered YES, to either of those questions then you are the perfect person to come to The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer. Mark your calendars NOW for the week of JULY 12th thru JULY 16th.
Dinner will be provided every night from 5pm-6pm and VBS will start at 6pm with a ‘story time’ and end at 8:15 with a recap of the night. On Thursday July 16th we will end The Discovery Canyon experience with an ICE CREAM SOCIAL! Please come and visit with the staff after a great week of fun and learning about God.

Diakonia CLASSES OFFERED IN FALL

A two year program taught by Lutheran pastors and leaders, diakonia provides systematic training to lay leaders throughout the Lutheran church. diakonia classes will be taught weekly on Thursday evenings at Good Shepherd beginning in September 2009. Classes will include the study of the Bible, theology, church history, Lutheran doctrine, and several areas of every day practical Christian living and service. This course of study, combined with spiritual retreat and group interaction, helps train people for the many diverse tasks and opportunities to which Christ’s Great Commission directs us.
