2010 is the 40th Anniversary of Good Shepherd! However, the history of our congregation dates back to 1890 when a group of Lutherans organized Trinity Lutheran Church in the west end of Coatesville. That church grew with members living in both the east and west end of Coatesville. In 1908, a second Lutheran congregation, Our Saviour, was created with Trinity members who lived in the east end of town, For the next 62 years, the two Lutheran congregations served the Coatesville community. In 1970 the two congregations re-united to become Good Shepherd and a new building was built on the corner of 17th Avenue and Oak Street in Caln Township, just east of Coatesville. We believe EVERYBODY should be in Sunday School! That’s why we offer Sunday School classes for toddlers through adults Sundaysat 9:15 a.m. each week. We invite you to come and learn about the Christian faith. Children will be studying Bible stories that will correspond to the Bible readings in worship that day. Junior High Youth will be studying the Old and New Testament stories. High school age youth will discuss life issues and faith. Adults will be given opportunity to study the Lutheran Faith, or, gather for a discussion of religious and faith issues of the day. Come and learn. Come and worship!
